Bundaberg is around 20 kms from the coast  on the edge of the Burnett River.  Bundaberg has a sub-tropical climate and a population of around 50,000 people.  Bundaberg City offers beautiful heritage buildings combined with modern architecture, and includes famous names such as the Bundaberg Rum Distillery . Bundaberg is also a good base to explore surrounding areas including the Bundaberg Coral Coast, the Southern Great Barrier Reef and coastal national parks.

Bundaberg Rum Distillery
In recent years Spring Hill House, the original homestead from Spring Hill Plantation, was relocated in the grounds. Lovingly restored the building houses a museum, souvenir shop and a bar where visitors can partake of the famous Bundaberg Rum, Bundaberg Rum Royal Liqueur, Bundaberg Rum and Coke and a traditional Bundaberg drink, Dark and Stormy - Bundaberg Rum and Bundaberg Ginger Beer.

The Bundaberg Barrel
Discover our roots on the amazing "True Brew Experience" Tour. Use the interactive touch screens to see what happens to the humble ginger roots as it's mushed, crushed, brewed and fermented into our world's finest drop. Gather around the bar for free product tasting of our whole range of brewed drinks.

Australian Sugar Cane Railway
Coal fired steam loco rides for the family. Operated by the Bundaberg Steam Tramway Preservation Society. Twice around 1 km of 610 cm gauge track. Steam locos "Old Germany" built in Germany in 1914; "Invicta" 1907 Leeds Fowler; "No3" Bundaberg Foundry 1952.
