Cairns is located in tropical far north Queensland. A major destination for overseas travellers and Australians alike. Cairns is an attraction for scuba divers, snorkellers, barrier reef cruises, fishing adventures, rainforest walks, outback adventures, and wildlife & bird watching and it's all in one location. Visit the Great Barrier Reef or the Daintree Forest if you can drag yourself away from the delights of the city itself. Cairns has a population of around 120,000 people and offers all the trappings of a resort town. Cruise Ships don't stop at Cairns for nothing.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning.  In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast.  In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book.
