Port Douglas could only be described as a luxury resort town. This is the place to go for the best of everything. The main street in Port Douglas is lined with shops and cafes to keep you entertained for days. This is the place to take in a coffee, a long lunch or a delicious cooked breakfast alfresco. Arriving by plane you will arrive at Cairns International Airport and then take a one hour scenic drive as you snake along the magnificent coastline. Port Douglas has a very popular marina with boats a plenty and cafes to enjoy on the waters edge. On one side of the town is the natural harbour with glistening tranquil waters while on the other side is the famous Four Mile Beach well worthy of a sandy stroll.

Catering exclusively for one couple at a time in a self-contained guest wing (half villa), the tropical retreat is nestled under a canopy of majestic palms opposite the southern end of Four Mile Beach . Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning.  In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast.  In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book.
