The township of Beechworth is considered to be Victoria's best preserved Gold Rush Town. To get there from Melbourne is around a 3 hour drive along the Hume Highway. Beechworth Historic and Cultural Precinct offers an insight into life on the early goldfields with an impressive collection of 19th century provincial government buildings. Buildings include the telegraph station, courthouse, sub-treasury and gold office, Chinese protector's office and the gold warden's office.

Lake Sambell Caravan Park
The park has 100 large shaded/sunny powered and unpowered sites and 10 large ensuite cabins in different styles and designs. Our cabins have one of the best lake views in town. Watch the magical sunsets from the verandahs. Cabins are fully self contained including; toilet, shower, T.V., heating, cooling, 2 cabins have air conditioning, electric blankets and cooking facilities.

Silver Creek Caravan Park
The park is in a delightful bush setting, backing onto the Beechworth Historic Forest , right near the junction of the Silver and Spring Creeks. Witness the superb native birdlife within the park, relax by fishing in the surrounding streams, or stroll along the creek paths into Beechworth or to Lake Kerford or the Wallaby Mine.

Caravan Park and Camping Ground offers accommodation for those seeking reasonable priced accommodation in a communal setting.  Also known as Holiday Parks, Caravan Parks can offer sites in both powered and un-powered as well as cabins through to luxury units.  Most Caravan Parks offer playgrounds for children and usually a swimming pool.  Shared toilet and shower amenities are the usually but it is not difficult to find ensuite facilities if you want them.  Caravan and Holiday Parks are a cheap alternative accommodation with the added bonus of being with others.
