Bright is a little over 300 kms to the north-east of Melbourne on the Great Alpine Road. Situated in the Ovens Valley with the beautiful Ovens River flowing past it offers magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and mountains.

Bright is renowned for the breathtaking display of colour provided each year in Autumn as the deciduous trees begin to loose their leaves. The original avenues of elms, chestnuts, poplars and scarlet oaks were planted by the town pioneers and have been enhanced by the splendid gardens of local residents.

The town is filled with many historic buildings and sites still intact from the gold rush days that began the region.

A popular destination for those venturing the slopes at Falls Creek and explorers of the Alpine National Park.

You don't have to leave the town to enjoy Bright as it offers impressive wineries, classy restaurants, relaxing cafes and many walking and bicycle paths to keep you entertained.
