From Torquay the Great Ocean Road road takes you inland but not far from the coastal edge. A quick detour to Jan Juc and Bells Beach to see some of the worlds best surf is a must. On reaching Anglesea the road starts its winding path along beach edges of the Southern Ocean. Aireys Inlet has the Split Point Lighthouse to guide you to its beautiful borders and should be a stop on your journey. And on you go. |

World reknowned for its scenic drives aound the magnificent coastline of Victoria's south-west. The road runs 300 kilometres from the surfside town of Torquay, just south of Geelong through to Peterborough which is just east of Warrnambool. A winding road that takes you along cliff tops and breathtaking headlands, down to the edge of the beaches and across river estuaries and lush rainforests with beautiful scenery at every turn. |
Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning. In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast. In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book. |
