Lorne has an upmarket atmosphere of specialty shopping, great cafes and scenic accommodation. It makes Lorne a busy and sought after destination. A large town for a seaside destination, Lorne stretches some distance offering pleasant walks along the beach or the paths above the roadside. Quite a hilly town it is not hard to get accommodation with great ocean views even a few streets back from the waters edge. |
Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning. In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast. In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book. |
