I never tire of going to Melbourne. Victoria's capital never ceases to impress me with it's festivals, exhibitions, shows, dining, accommodation and shopping. It rivals anywhere in the world. Melbourne has architecture that ranges from historical significance to modern bizarre and everything in between. Where else would you find shopping arcades that allow you to sit outdoors and sip great coffee in any type of weather. Melbourne is very much like its population - diverse in culture. Thank goodness. |

Melbourne is the capital of Victoria and offers everything you would expect of a major city. Staging some of the best sporting events and theatre performances, Melbourne is the cultural hub of Australia. The Melbourne Comedy Festival, Moomba, the Tennis, Melbourne Cup, Formula One Racing - if there's a major festival on it's probably going to be here. For a more relaxed visit the Melbourne Aquarium, the Art Gallery, Sciencework, the Museum exhibitions or see what's on at the Exhibition Buildings. |
Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning. In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast. In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book. |
