Queenscliff, a seaside resort on the Bellarine Peninsula is a very popular beachside destination steeped in a rich heritage characterised by elegant hotels, guesthouses, galleries, restaurants, cafes, a fine golf course, ferries and wide streets with terraced houses. It has both bay and surf beaches. Fort Queenscliff which was built on Shortlands Bluff, overlooking the commercial shipping lanes for Melbourne and Geelong. In recent years Queenscliff updated it ferry service to large vehicle carrying vessels so it can be accessed via Geelong or Sorrento.
