Geelong
I was standing on Cunningham Peir on Geelong's Waterfront admiring the sun setting over the bay.  It is such a beautiful view you could be standing at any of the top seaside destinations around Australia.  Geelong has transformed the Waterfront into something to be proud of and worthy of anyone looking for a great place to visit.
Lakes Entrance
For over a century Lakes Entrance has been a popular holiday destination for Victorians. It takes around 4 hours to get there from Melbourne using the Princes Highway.
Lorne
A large town by seaside standards, Lorne stretches some distance offering pleasant walks along the beach or the paths above the roadside. Quite a hilly town it is not hard to get accommodation with great ocean views.
Maldon
Maldon is like stepping 100 years into the past. Maldon was the first Victorian town to be classified by the National Trust. Wide verandahs, large shade trees, flagstone paving and original style shop fronts provide a steetscape that will make you feel like you are walking through the past.
Maryborough
Maryborough was originally a goldmine township it is now the home to over 8,000 people. Maryborough attractions include The Railway Station made famous by Mark Twain's comment 'a railway station with a town attached' which now houses the Antique Emporium, Worsley Cottage the Midlands Historical Society, the Maryborough Flour Mill Gallery and Phillips Gardens.

Mildura
Mildura is considered to be the Mediterranean of the outback and renowned for its fine cuisine, wines and cultural mix. Set in the outback, Mildura offers an opportunity to experience the great outdoors of green farmed pastures to red earthed dessert then return to a cosmopolitan retreat offering every pamper you need on your precious break.
Ocean Grove
Reknowned as a surf destination, Ocean Grove's swells regurlarly giving great surfing. The beach is patrolled during the swimming season and the lifesavers club cafe offers spectacular views of the ocean while you eat.
Omeo
The town was infamous for its huge influx of gold seekers and was known as one of the toughest and most lawless goldfield towns in Australia. Omeo is surrounded by magnificent mountain scenery with drives and walks giving you plenty to enjoy.
Phillip Island
Phillip Island is a little under a two hour drive from Melbourne on the. It includes the towns of Newhaven, Rhyll and Cowes with San Remo being the last town on the Mainland.
Port Fairy
Port Fairy is probably most famous nowadays for the "Port Fairy Folk Festival" held every year in March. Port Fairy offers a rich variety of nineteenth century buildings including churches, banks, public buildings, hotels, shops and private dwellings.
Queenscliff
Queenscliff, a seaside resort on the Bellarine Peninsula is a very popular beachside destination steeped in a rich heritage characterised by elegant hotels, guesthouses, galleries, restaurants, cafes, a fine golf course, ferries and wide streets with terraced houses.
Torquay
Around a 20 minute drive from Geelong is Torquay the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. For decades Torquay and the surrounding beaches of Jan Juc and Bell's Beach has been a mecca for surfers and swimmers wanting to catch the perfect wave.
Warrnambool
Warrnambool is Victoria's southern right whale nursery with the visiting whales seen at Logan's Beach every May to October sometimes seen only 100 metres off the shore.
