Wilsons Promontory

Wilsons Promontory known locally as "the prom" is located at the southern-most point of Australia. The national park features breath-taking and exclusive beaches, fern gullies, magnificent views in every direction including spectacular rock formations and an abundance of wildlife spread across 50,000 hectares.

Renowned for its walking tracks, there's more than 30 walks covering around 130 kilometres of tracks which vary considerably in length and difficulty. The tracks start from Tidal River (you can get accommodation, supplies and camping there) and lead to many secluded beaches, coves and lookouts.

Norman Beach and Tidal River offer the safer swimming areas as strong currents make the other beaches less safe.
Surrounding areas including Yanakie, Fish Creek and Foster offer accommodation for all budgets, and they are within comfortable driving distance to the park. They offer self contained cabins, caravan parks, motels, bed and breakfast and farmstays.
